I'm Lying...

I'm Lying...

A Poem by The Misunderstood One

Everyday gets a little easier.
I'm lying...
It feels like I've been hit by a meteor.
Every time i see her,
Or i see her keeper,
You know, her mama who was like my mama but now i cant be sure?

I met the girl of my dreams,
But it was just a dream it seems...
Because no one seems to know what it means!
What i means to have all you ever wanted, then watch it slip through the seams.

But I'm tough, it just means we aren't meant to be.
I'm lying...
I'm stuck in a generation that's too blind to see.
Too blinded by the belief that if you're cuffed you aren't free!
But that's not me...

And I've spoken to my friends.
I'm lying....
I live in a world where I'm constantly hiding,
So deep in my head is where my thoughts are residing.
You can trust no one else right? In myself I'm confiding...

I'm lying...
I don't... I've never confided in myself.
Only in you, no one else.
Let me just stop right here and hide this in the back of my bookshelf...

I liked it, I did. I just don’t understand the last stanza. Maybe look for another word that rhymes with myself. Sorry, just suggestions. Other than that it was wonderful.
