Artica Amazonia

A Poem by Lucas Maas
"

A poem on my experience at Jungle Warfare training

"
So there we were in foreign lands
Off the coast of ol' Japan
We travelled here by wind and air
Only to land in Jungle Warfare

To be in the jungle, its one hell of a sight
Speaking of, Smith took bamboo to the eye
Then came the rain and with it, the cold
Sunshine, blue skies? Nice intel Sgt Cole

We built shelters for the rain but the wind came in force
Before it even stopped, we ran the E-Course
Hasties, monkey crawls and knots to hang on
Even poisonous creatures in the Pit 'N' Pond

We then carried a stretcher, where our run became a crawl
XO to Armprester: "HE'S FINE, WALK IT OFF"
We all stood there stunned, "Did I hear that s**t right?"
Looked down at his crumpled body, "Guys..I'm alright"

5 Hours and 20 minutes, we sure set a feat
For we all finished what others thought we could not complete.
