Admire Me

Admire Me

A Poem by Lucas Maas
"

A freestyle poem of romantic admiration for those we know and those we don't.

"
Our momentary interactions replay in my mind relentlessly. Almost as often as the thought of you fluttering in my day dreams, commandeering my focus. Your self-perception conflicts with my affectionate idolization of your beauty. I fantasize of the moment you admire me the way I admire you. Unspoken hope and worry is constantly stomping my tongue and conscience. Flavors can no longer be tasted nor colors seen until the moment when i breathe your air and spend your time. I endlessly seek the opportune miracle of dwelling in the perfection which is you. Admire me as I admire you.

Really liked the word choice of "breathe your air and spend your time". I think this is a very clever poem.

Your word choice is really exquisite. I particularly loved the “breathe your air and spend your time” line. Something truly beautiful about that.:)
