Jackal

Jackal

A Poem by Lucas Donnan

He sits on my bed smoking my cigarettes.
We've never actually spoken, opened up to one another.  I've made a point of it not to.
Our relationship is one of mutual understanding.
Personally, I've never liked him.  Everyone else doesn't seem to mind.
I don't trust him because he looks like me but with the head of a jackal.
