Eternity

A poem about the power differential between man and God as well as the promise of eternity God promises.

God, I bring my heartaches to you
and I expect You to dry  my tears.
Sometimes I forget to be humble with you,
acting as if you and I are  peers.
But, once I remember Your power,
compared to the lack of mine,
I realize You are eternity
and I a mere moment in time.

Lord, I know that life eternal
Comes only by Grace through You.
If I truely repent of my sins and have faith,
You will make me new.

When I Accept your infinite  power
and your Holiness far beyond mine,
I realize that You are eternity
and I a mere moment in time.

Father, I know You have a plan for  my life.
That You desire for me to be free.
Asking only that I humble myself
and believe You truely love me.

I know if in faith I bow down and repent,
through Grace I will always be free;
no longer just a moment in time,
but reborn to eternity.
