The Life God's Given You

A poem about living without regrets

It's time to start living the life God's given you;
Intead of whining as you lust after more.
'Cause I can tell you one thing for certain
Today's the yesterday you will one day mourn for.

You came into this life with a purpose;
God had a plan on the day you were born.
He created you in His exalted image.
How can you possibly feel sad or forlorn?
Have you lost sight of your reason for being?
Are you lost in the natural world?
Have you forgotten where to find wisdom?
All you need can be found in God's word.

It's time to start living the life God's given you;
Instead of whining as you lust after more.
'Cause I can tell you one thing for certain?
Today's the yesterday you will one day mourn for.

You need to start building the one relationship
without which you will truly be lost.
Start showing a bit of gratitude
For the Grace He bestowed from the cross.
So when you enter your personal end time,
When it is you for whom the bell tolls,
you won't question the existence of heaven
While feeling the heat of hell in your soul.

You better start living the life God's given you;
Instead of whining as you lust after more.
'Cause I can tell you one thing for certain,
Today's the yesterday you will one day mourn for.
