Echo and Narcissist

 

Somewhere inside of me is a poem

Etched out between two mountain crevices,

I shout an exclamatory affirmation…

Hence returning the echo

Lies an arbitrary distance of you and me

 

I beseech a rhythmical lyric

Apprehended from a voice that carried me

Between two mountainous gaps, resonates

An unseen visage only substantiated

By the watery mirror of its gaze

 

Foregoing a lengthy stare at apparent nothingness,

Memory continues to forge

A silhouette of a returning face,

The horizon descends into a flat line

And I cannot see your face in my mind
