Down A MountainA Poem by Lionel Braud
Is there so much longing down here? The sick longing man has made the road down here Now I find the road Is left down here I see that everything is left down here How the laughter has grown down here As I came running around Running around The man at the highest peek Has come down the mountain Speaking down here only with a message of concern Of those who drink Down the mountain of the wish sought May be broken I am my laugh For those who try may cry Come now Down the mountain I have tried so long That wayward chill
Make a wish My beloved one The one who came Down a mountain
