Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Lionel Braud

Dreams

Till time I shall part

The cold wind breathes, withers and whispers my name

Till eternity I shall dwell

Ere upon natures repose, for the body, I am mind to which I confide

Upon green pastures I taste the girth of the deep, dark earth

Wither and wonder do the winds’ depart when I sleep

I breathe your ether throes

Nature thus thwarted and kindled by my abstract recess

I paint whatever seems necessary

Awake

I am dumfounded by concrete finesse

and the things that take shape

Nature functioning at it’s own discord

Dreams are the resurging of life

A carrying back from hither to thither

Death departs like a cold wind when we awake

You ever think about incorporating some of your poems into your "Eluthia" book? I ask because this one in particular would work quite nicely and it might be a nice touch to have Minus writing poetry. Just a thought. It struck me while reading this how closely the world of this poem and "Eluthia" are. I remember the first dream poem of yours that I read many months ago. I didn't get what you were doing or maybe I was just being an idiot. Well I get it now and this wonderfully written.

"Upon green pastures I taste the girth of the deep, dark earth
Wither and wonder do the winds' depart when I sleep
I breathe your ether throes
Nature thus thwarted and kindled by my abstract recess
I paint whatever seems necessary "

Some really luscious writing here...breathe in ether throes...
