Just a girlA Poem by lrigDYou're just a girl.
You do not possess particular strength
Nor are you tall, or built Your voice is always gentle, Your words are always kind You are not suited for ugliness Your face is not hideous Nor beautiful like the sea; Your face is not that charming; Oh, what are you doing to me? Your manners are humble Yet you stand in pride; Your figure is slim; Nearly a model's size Yet you hold your stomach In anger and in fear But I see your eyes And they are bright and clear You are not that special A normal, everyday girl I always pass you on the streets You never seem to notice me But you hold me in your grip Like a woman is wont to do; I cannot turn away And I do not want to. © 2010 lrigDAuthor's Note
