ARROGANCE

ARROGANCE

A Story by Lourdes Pessetto
"

Ill pride is poisonous for oneself and society. Comparing "breeds feelings of envy" and low self-esteem.

"

When ill pride prevails, your character tends to live in a world of delirium. With temperament one is born, while the character is educable, formed and modified; you learn to control through external manifestations. Ill pride is a feeling of superiority, distant and with contempt towards others. Healthy pride comes from a good self-esteem, it only values our own persona-not generated from the comparison of others, but from the honest validation and humility with oneself; thus allowing, to value your achievements, qualities, and virtues. The pride that is generated through arrogance and vanity lacks the ability to respect and recognize the qualities and value of others.

Ill pride is poisonous for oneself and society. Be proud for your authenticity and accomplishments with humility, not from comparing yourself with others, as comparing "breeds feelings of envy" and low self-esteem.

Perhaps the direction and focus of your life may be for your own peace and serenity, with joy in your heart, and above all, with deep appreciation for each day, each breath and lived experiences; always keeping in mind that in our last breath, we will only take the memories we built with honesty, with a good conscience, and with a good heart. With Love, Lourdes

We need leaders and people near who will listen and flex. We must also. People who are arrogance and they don't listen. Create only chaos. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing words and your thoughts.

I feel these true and important words are what writers should strive to live by in regards to their art. Take pride in the accomplishments of a job well done in completing your work. Recognize the effort it took in you to finish the art to the best of your ability. Accolades are nice but they are not everything. Art is equal to art, because it is subjective to the eyes of the beholder. And when someone says something nice about the work you have done take the time to personally thank them, for they took the time to review your art. Be an admirer of others work and not envious of it. You earn esteem and respect by giving it, not just in the accepting. And always be true to your art, because trying to be something else will never bring you happiness. Thank you Lourdes for your art and sharing it with us.
