THE WORST POVERTY IN HUMANKIND

THE WORST POVERTY IN HUMANKIND

A Poem by Lourdes Pessetto
"

HOME is in the heart of kind, loving people.

"

🌾🕊

The worst poverty that exists in humankind is the darkness they carried in their heart, the lack of kindness and empathy,

home is in the heart of kind, loving people,

where even something bitter tastes like nectarine,

where the cold feels warm,

where a simple meal tastes like finest delicacy.

With Love, Lourdes '🕊!

These words are so true. One of the most inspiring women in my life was my grandmother who so exuded the type of love you speak of in this truthful poem. She was always so welcoming to strangers into her home. Only later in life would I come to understand that home isn't always a place but a heart that is always welcoming in times of need. As my grandmother was to me. Thank you for sharing your words with us.

Home is where the heart is. A warm and open heart can make a huge difference to someone in need. An uplifting piece of brevity Lourdes. Thank you for sharing.

Indeed, kindness, compassion, empathy - all are paramount for humanity to thrive, it seems that such important things are waning sadly, ever more, each day...beautifully said Lourdes :)

Very true. People sometimes become slaves and they don't even realize it. Great job!
