Chapter 1

This isn't totally finished, but I thought I'd add it anyways .

     It was so sudden . I didn't want to leave West Virginia . I didn't want to leave the USA . Really, I wouldn't like Canada , but dad lost job and we couldn't afford to stay .

    

     He found a new job, though . He will work at a cell phone factory, and mom got a job as a nurse in a nearby hospital . As for me, I will go to Amber High School .

 

     I got the rest of my things loaded in the car . I took a little to long at saying goodbye to my bffs, Grace and Sam, but I would never see them again . Who could blame me ?

 

     The car horn blasted as my mother yelled, " Come on Erin, we are going to miss our flight !" My wet tears burned my eyes as I gave them one last hug and headed for the car .

 

     There was a one hour drive to the airport . Then we board an eight hour flight . I slept most of the flight to keep myself calm . When we finally landed, we drove fifteen minutes to our new house .

 

     The house was ancient . The floors boards creaked when I walk upstairs to unpack . The cmell of my room was horrid . It smelled musty and old . The walls were painted mint green and the carpit was scarlet red .
