divine personified

divine personified

A Poem by Sarah
"

be warned of the girl who is divine personified, she might strike when least expected

"
“there is a raging sea inside my heart; you can hear Poseidon’s rage and heartbreak.
there are flames behind my eyes; you can see Odin’s heart beating violently, his thirst for all the divine, knowledgeable.

there is war and lightning behind my lips" this is where Zeus and Thor both kissed me, violently and then soothingly.

there is a silence in my song, a silence that only Medusa bears; but there is also vengeance; a vendetta in which Fenrir bestowed upon me ever so graciously.

And behind my lips, resides a cruelty in which only Loki and Lucifer are known for" an unspeakable virtue, a hideous truth and a tragic pride; they all dwell behind my lips, laced in my words.

my bones are carved from marble" a beauty in which only Freyja and Aphrodite could’ve blessed.

my soul, a collection of divine stardust and grotesque humility is where God breathed himself into me" gracing me with the curse, the burden in which I must carry to grave.

and I turn to you, a foolish admirer seeking solace in my cathedral,
and I hear my ancestors scream with a volume that matches those of the melancholic furies,

'Abandon hope, all ye who enter here….'”

" be warned of the girl who is divine personified, she might strike when least expected

Thanks for reviewing my poem! I only thought it'd be best I returned the favor.
This is a really interesting poem bringing both Norse and Greek Mythology to light, and finding similarities that make it flow beautifully. I really like it because I personally love Greek mythology and I'm reading up on Norse so it's pretty amazing what you've done here! Superb!
