A Poem by loverly9316

When life took a turn
for the worse
you stood there by me
to watch the herse
it took away not a body,
nor soul
but my life it carried,
every dream and goal
piece by piece
i fixed the puzzle
that looked like life
that was buried by shovel
now here in my hands
are pieces of my heart
looking down at fragments
where do i start
stick glue by side and
tape at hand
i piece back my
life right where i stand
little by little it comes together
the life i had should have
been forever
carried in a memory of
a little home
filled with lies, but love was that shone
im not quite sure where
i am today
my eyes filled with hurt,
my heart with dismay
but i carry on with
a kindered soul
& work everyday towards
my hard earned goal...
