the path

the path

A Poem by loverly9316

Graveled roads weary and worn
covered in bushes thick with thorn
never quite dark nor light at the same
my legs grown so tired i'm withered with shame

rocks so small with dreams so big
leaves scurry past with a snap of a twig
trees overgrown and misunderstood
eery sounds from deep under the wood

chilling looks of a white face above
a man smiling down shimmering his love
warming fires chilled by the bitter wind
children far in distance mothers dancing in sin

families crushed by sounds of a loved ones so dear
the ones that missed the light oh so very near
careful steps when traveing this path
one wrong move and this breath is your last

A very interesting piece full of imagery. The second stanza in particular is lovely.

Wow amazing. I really love this. It's a strange imagery to me, not saying the image is bad, some others may differ, but I like it. It's bloody brilliant! I must add... And interesting piece. Keep it up!
