Chapter 31 - Really Bad News

A couple of months later

"So what about rose's?" I asked, me and Sirius were sitting on the sofa looking through magazines, I was leaning against Sirius while he was looking over my shoulder "I like rose's" I added, I turned my head to look at Sirius, to see him staring into space "Sirius!" I said raising my voice a little, he suddenly looked at me "What's wrong Sirius?" he shook his head

"Nothing" he lied

"Liar, tell me" I said, he sighed and kissed me softly, I instantly kissed him back,

"I feel like something bad is coming our way" he said quietly,

"Oh Sirius" I said, I dropped the magazine and wrapped my arms around him "What makes you think that?" I asked

"I don't know, a bad feeling I suppose, I mean this, whole, thing about us, it's too good to be true, don't you think?" he explained, I thought about this,

"I suppose, but if it is too good to be true, let's try to make it last?" I said, he smiled

"You're right, like always" I laughed, just then I heard my phone ringing, I pulled away from Sirius and went to answer it

"Hello" I answered

"Fiona, darling" It was my mum, and it sounded like she was crying

"Mum, what's wrong?" I asked starting to get worried I heard voices in the background

"Mum let me" and then Wayne, my oldest brother was talking to me

"Wayne, will you please tell me what the hell is going on?" I begged

"Ok, Fiona, Dad's died" I froze

"W...w..what?" I stuttered

"I'm sorry Fiona, he had a heart attack it was sudden" he explained, tears were pouring down my cheeks

"I'm coming down there" I said, "Speak to you soon"

"Alright, safe journey" Wayne said

"Thank you" I said before hanging up, once Sirius saw me crying he jumped up and ran over, wrapping his arms around me

"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, I sunk into his arms dropping to the floor,

"My...my dad's dead" I sobbed, his arms tightened around me, "I need to go home" I whispered, muffled into his shirt

"I'm coming with you" he said, I looked up at him

"You don't have to do that" I replied

"I don't, but I am, I am never going to leave you" he said, I smiled softly, and he helped me up, I pulled away from him and walked slowly into my bedroom "Where are you going?" he asked quietly

"To pack" I answered, not looking behind me "Go pick the kids up from Ceri's they're coming with us" I said not waiting to see if he went or not I walked into the bedroom and filled a bag full clothes, put some of Sirius' Muggle clothing in aswell then went to get some of the kids clothes, when I had finished I went to put it in the boot of my car, just as I had shut the car door, I saw Sirius walking over with the kids and Ceri and David follwing him, Harry, Keira and James came and hugged me, I hugged them back, "Did you have fun?" I asked

"We did until we heard what happened to Grandad" James said, I had taken James and Keira to my mum and dad's every year, in the summer, at Christmas and on their birthday

"I know" I said, wrapping the twins in a tight hug I let go and opened the car door for them, they got in and put their seat belts on, I turned to Harry "Harry do you want to come with us or do you want to stay here?" I asked

"I think I should stay here, Fiona," he said, I hugged him tight

"We'll be back before you know it" I said, pulling away, he nodded, I walked over to David and Ceri "Would you look after Harry until we get back?" I asked

"Of course we will, and give our love to your family" Ceri answered

"Will do and thank you" I said, I hugged them both then hugged Harry once more "I'll miss you" I said,

"I'll miss you too," then he added in a whisper "Mum", I smiled and kissed him on the cheek

"Thank you" I whispered before getting in the car with Sirius, I started the engine and drove away, waving goodbye to Ceri, David and Harry.
