Chapter 28 - People still surprise you

The next morning, I got up early, so I could start clearing up, I put my earphones in and listened to music off my Ipod whilst I cleaned.

I was washing up when Sirius walked into the kitchen, in just his boxers, I didn't notice him until he put his arms around my waist, and kissed my neck,

"Morning" I greeted

"Morning" he replied "What time were you up this morning, the place is spotless" he asked, I smiled

"Thanks" I said, drying my hands on a towel.

“What you up to today?” he asked

“Well, I need to pop round Ceri’s and Jess’s, and I need to get in touch with Kirsty” I told him

“Kirsty…Kirsty I’ve heard of her before” he said trying to think, I laughed

“You’ve met her before, she was staying with me when we first met you guys, small girl, medium length dark hair” I explained, he clicked

“Oh yeah! The quiet one!” he yelled, I laughed

“Well I don’t think she’s quiet anymore, I haven’t seen her for years, I heard off Alice that’s she’s a very successful lawyer in London, finally got away from her parents, how she hated them” I explained as I began to make breakfast, “Beans on toast do you?” I asked, he nodded

“Yeah fine” he said, I smiled

“Good, so what are you doing today?” I asked

“No idea, going to try and get a job at the ministry” he said, I looked at him shocked

“The Ministry!” I said “The same ministry that locked you up for 8 years with no trial?!” I asked

“That’s the one” he replied, I was just about to reply when there was a knock at the door

“I’ll get it” I said “Watch the toast” I walked out and answered the door to find Professor Dumbledore standing on the other side “Professor!” I said

“Good morning Fiona” he greeted

“Morning Sir” I replied I moved aside to let him in I led him into the living room “Sirius, Professor Dumbledore’s here” I said, I walked into the kitchen and turned the cooker off “Breakfast can wait” I said, he sighed and followed me back into the living room, I walked over to the kids room where I had left them to play, I poked my head through “Kids, Professor Dumbledore’s here, get dressed and come and say hello” I said, they nodded, I smiled and shut the door, then thought of something I opened the door again “Keira will you beable to manage?” I asked, she smiled and nodded

“Yes Mum” she replied, I nodded and finally shut the door, making my way back into the living room

“Sirius go get some clothes on” I said, when I realised he was still just in his boxers, he laughed and walked into the bedroom. He came out 5 minutes later fully dressed in some new robes he had gotten, “So sir what has bought you here?” I asked

“Well Fiona, Hogwarts has two vacancies for jobs spare, a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher and a Muggle Studies teacher, I was wondering if you and Sirius would like to take the places?” he asked, me and Sirius stared at each other, in shock

“When would we have to start?” I asked

“Well, in September presumably, as the teachers who are now on are leaving at the end of this school year” he told us, I looked at Sirius again, then back at the old man

“What about living arrangements and I have to leave all my friends behind” I said

“Ahh, but you don’t” he replied “I am happy enough to let you live at Hogwarts, and will have transport for whenever your family or friends would like to visit” he said, I grinned

“That would be Fantastic,” I said “Sirius what about you?” I asked, he smiled

“If you want to go, then I will aswell” he said I got up and hugged him tight

“Thank you!” I said, pulling away, he laughed

“So it’s settled then,” Dumbledore said standing up “I’ll be seeing you in September” he said I nodded and he let himself out I looked at Sirius

“Would you really do that Sirius?” I asked

“Yes, I love you, and anyway there will be more protection for the kids” he answered, I smiled

“I love you too, and would like to get married before we leave,” I said, he grinned

“Me too,” he agreed

“Muggle style wedding with proper wedding dresses and suits” I said

“Definitely” he said, I laughed and kissed him hard then stood up

“I’ll go finish breakfast shall I while, you go get the kids” I said, he stood up and kissed me hard before walking out the living room, and I walked into the kitchen again
