Chapter 2 – Explanations

I led them into the living room and sat down motioning them to sit down aswell, they did so.

“So what do you want with a boring old Muggle like myself?” I asked the Marauders looked at eachother as if deciding who should talk, finally Remus spoke.

“Right straight to the point” he started “Dumbledore wants your help” he told me I stared at him

“Dumbledore wants my help?” I repeated, Remus nodded “As is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Greatest Wizard in the world and defeater of Grindlewand wants my help?” I asked not quite believing it

“If that’s true then yeah,” James said I sighed

“Ok, but one more thing, why me?” I wondered this time Lily spoke

“Well in our world, Lord Voldemort is already at power, Dumbledore says that us 4 are in more danger than anyone else, but we don’t know why, he says that you can tell us, why he wants to kill us and how to stop him, something about 7 books” she took a deep breath before carrying on “he also asks if we can lie low around here for a while where Voldemort can’t find us, and when Dumbledore thinks the time is right he will come to fetch us in person”

“Right, ok” I had no idea what to say

“If you can’t help us then, it doesn’t matter” Sirius added flashing another smile at me, I sighed

“I can help you at least I think I can, and if I’m right in thinking when he said about the 7 books, I have got them” I was more talking to myself, I shook my head and looked at them “Ok, you can stay here we’ve got a couple of spare rooms you can have, my parents aren’t in they are at work and they won’t be back for a few weeks yet so you’re alright about that, my brother will be in and out, I’ll explain, it to him, he won’t mind, and you might have to come school with us next week, we’ve only, got a week left so if you’re alright with that” I paused “Any questions?” I asked

“Can we get drunk?” Sirius asked Remus and Lily rolled their eyes, I smiled

“Maybe tonight, and then every Friday me and my mates usually have a few drinks around here, if that’s alright with you Sirius?” I asked, he nodded, pleased, I stood up “Right I’d better introduce you to my friends, and show you to your rooms” I said they nodded and followed me out the room and up the stairs.

quite an unusual write here, though I do like the concept. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. There are a few typos and some minor grammar errors, but overall a nice idea. So many questions. How will they react? Does there magic work in the real world? If so, is it enhanced or worsened by the lack of magic? hopefully, this will be explained in future chapters :)
