The CalmA Poem by Lovely Mistakewritten (12.2.08)The Calm an open field is stretched out before me. (peaceful) not a sound to break the deafeing silence. storm clouds form in the pit of my stomach. the wind picks up tossing trees like they were tooth picks. the coulds grow darker. my scream is smothered by a (clap) of thunder, my brain is (scrambled). looking for a coherent thought to latch on to. I should have known that it was only the calm Before the Storm © 2009 Lovely Mistake |
