Go Ask AliceA Poem by love, lorey
Chasing the rabbit, he said with a laugh,
It isn't quite the fairy-tale. I shrugged, and grinned and swallowed it whole. Greedy, hungry youth. I cartwheeled through the tumblers of every locked thought, twisting kaleidoscope skies. Tasting music and dancing in the aftermath of euphoria. Wicked, wonder-filled youth. You taste of heaven! I screamed at the world. Before it turned to hell. Chaotic bits of history and hate, slapped around my innocence and dreams. I told myself, The tiger's might is empty! But I felt the drug peel my skin away from my soul and I knew that I lied. Desperate, ragged youth.
