Tired

Tired

A Poem by love, lorey

"smile" he said, touching her cheek
she turned away, cheeks burnished red.
he would leave her soon
too damn self indulged to care she was
falling
into an abyss.

"i don't care." she said,
shrugging, as he watched the waitress
walk
despair appeared, and offered her
a gentle smile. an empty smile.
she agreed to
everything
it entailed.

Thank you for such a lovely review!
The poem made me desire to know more. You lightly touched on subjects create vision and question. The good description made the situation come alive. I enjoy this type of poetry. Allow the reader to use their imagination. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thanks so much!!
When we agree to take despair as a roommate, the rent will be paid in tears... You paint a brief yet telling scene here. Well done.
