SomberA Poem by Amadeus the LovelessWondering if the world knows how to give back...I feel somber today, so I bought myself a lemonade. Now I drink lemonade on a somber day. I don’t know what it is… fear, restlessness... I don’t know why it is… but reality weighs a bit too much today. My constant chase for joy is costing me my comfort, my conformism. I feel raw, exposed to the world. I’m so proud of that. Isn’t that what I promised the world when I started writing poetry? My entire self in letters? My blood, sweat, and tears? I’ve given the world all it has asked of me And it’s left me wondering… If it knows how to give back. Amadeus the Loveless October 12, 2023
