Invincible

Invincible

A Poem by LeeAnne Elizabeth

Your eyes still talk about that night

I can see it when you look at me

I can only imagine what you’re thinking

And what you don’t want to believe

If it’s not what I wanted

Then why’d I let it happen?

If it’s not what I think about

Then why am I nervously laughing?

How do I say I’m sorry

Without really apologizing?

And if it’s still on my mind

I guess I’m not really trying

Someday I’ll get my answer

But which one am I hoping for?

I don’t want to know

I don’t want to think of this anymore
