I Told You So

I Told You So

A Poem by LeeAnne Elizabeth
"

This is about me. I went through an extremely rough time in my life in Fall 2012. I wrote this early 2013 looking back on my struggles.

"

You were so low

You made a home of pencils and paper

But you made that a life

So you wouldn’t make yourself a traitor

You were beyond broken

But you never were beyond repair

You would’ve listened to anyone

A vagabond or a millionaire

You were so low

I told you so

You ran away from people

But you were your worst enemy

You dreamt of things like

A smile and complacency

Your were tired, your mind was restless

And then even your house fell down

Well all flowers have to die so more can bloom

Someday this will all turn around

You were so low

But I told you so
