I Heard Your Voice

I Heard Your Voice

A Poem by LeeAnne Elizabeth
"

This is about a best friend of mine who passed away September 2012 at the age of 18.

"

I am sorry.

So sorry.

You really were my best friend.

I should’ve never treated you that way.

And that was your last memory of me.

You died thinking I hated you.

And I’m so sorry.

If I could take it all back I would.

You know I would.

You were so beautiful - inside and out.

You were so bright.

You had all the possibilities in the world in your hands.

You were a great friend.

You really were.

I still cry.

I cry so hard sometimes.

The tears will forever be there.

Because I miss you.

I really miss you.

You want me to be happy.

And I finally am.

Thank you.

I heard your voice,

and now I’m okay.

Thank you.

I love you.
