Healing

its a long process.

Honestly

I think I’m finally

Healing. 

It’s interesting when

The storm turns into 

Sunny blue skies.

The wind has become 

Much calmer. 

The flowers are 

Blooming. 

My eyes are no longer

Glassy, fragile. 

I can smile genuinely

Without feeling empty. 

I never 

Ever thought

I could heal. 

This journey is so amazing.

I feel so free.

I feel so alive.

I am starting to

Love and appreciate

The things around me.

I hardly feel

Like a burden anymore.

I feel loved. 

I feel calm. 

I feel safe.

Though some days

I am still falling

Sinking into my old ways.

That is the part of healing 

That is hard. 

It’s never easy.

It’s not an overnight process.

I could not just decide to be happy.

It takes time.
