"Sorrow Becomes Me"A Poem by lovejulez03
Sorrow seems so beautiful to me
Perhaps this why I can't let her go She comes to me like an illusion With pastels and vibrance surrounding The picture she paints is a happy one With no sign of anguish or bitter regret She smiles at me and I smile back She offers her hand and I accept But to what end? When does it stop and happiness begin? I can't seem to shake her And she is forever present in my life She is a beautiful facade That drenches me in misery Her skin is ice cold And it reeks of lies and conspiracy Conspiring against my heart Conspiring against my soul She asks for my forgiveness And explains that this is a part of life I pull my hand back My veins seem frozen beneath my skin This thing called sorrow She's beautiful to me indeed But I have to go now, Yes, I have to leave Because this thing called life... It keeps asking for me. © 2011 lovejulez03Author's Note
