I love you still.
I loved you with an eagerness
Unknown to me until I met you
I loved you with enthusiasm
That will never be less then true
This love for you was beautifully complicated
And yet so simple
I wasn't your rock
And you were not mine
But we sat side by side
Weathering the storm together...
Molded and complete
I loved you with a strength so strong
Swollen beneath my breast
Encouraging thoughts of solace
Never feeling any regret
To know you was to feel enlightened
To kiss you was to breathe
To touch you was to feel forever
And to love you was to believe
I loved you once.
I love you still.
Your beauty shone bright from beneath your skin
Your eyes spoke truth of ways to fulfill
Fulfill my mind
Fulfill my heart
Mending the things that were broken apart
Forgiveness for my imperfections
Loving me with such affections...
And this is all that I shall say:
I will love you each and every day.
