Religious ritesA Poem by lovejulez03
Within the walls of priests,
Between pillars and glass... They look for absolution To escape the retribution. The ploy fabricates hope. The disguise of holy water... It sits in the darkness And burns their tongues Underneath the prayer and worship Lingers hated and disregard. They cling to it Like a parasite swimming in sinners blood All of it in hopes of feeling consecrated... To feel justified in their actions And glorified in their judgemental spew, In order to find peace in hell They know not that the fire ingnites... Seven sins for pandoras box Unleashed upon the world To wreak havoc on the innocence. They testify on behalf of the ages In hopes of their reality saving souls. And they satisfy their putrid hunger By feeding on the chastity of virgins. ...within the walls of priests They pray away their corruption To make room for tainted righteousness And sing words of tattered falsehoods. © 2015 lovejulez03Author's Note
