Not A Princess

Not A Princess

A Poem by forsaken_beauty
"

a poem i wrote in high school about how sometimes you feel not so pretty.

"
I wish an angel to watch over me,
I wish I had a miracle,
To make me the person I wished I could be.

I am CInderella without the godmother,
I'm the person they never cast,
I'm the part of the story they cut out,
I have no happily ever after.

I'm not as pretty as most girls,
I'm not as skinny either,
I don't have blue eyes and long lashes,
But I will get by in the end.

I'm like Rapunzel,
Locked up alone,
Way up in the tower,
WIth no handsome prince to save me.

But I wake up everyday,
No matter what,
I put a smile on my face,
And the day moves on.

Another day,
Another hour,
Another minute,
Another second passes,

The time moves so slowly,
But just wait,
Give me some time,
Until I become the girl I'm meant to be.

I love it, it's very cute. and it very well sums up the feelings of a teenage girl who feels she is treated unfairly by the world and it's requirements of beauty.
very nice write, kudos to you. :]
