Winter Wondering

Winter Wondering

A Poem by forsaken_beauty

His faint "I love you' still hanging in the air,
As memories flooded her mind,
And snowflakes filled her hair.

Her porcalin skin glowing,
But tears were filling in her eyes.

Fading forever with a shattered heart,
And tainted with the devil's decieving lies.

Her wings were ripped and torn,
And her feathers facing the wrong way.

It's funny how love can blind you,
And quickly turn the blue sky to gray.

She collaspes to the ground near a frozen lake covered in ice,
"This is what you get" she thought.
"When you decide to be nothing but nice."

Curling up in a tiny ball she cries herself to sleep,
Wrapped in all the lies that he had promised to keep.

But it's just too late this time,
She's withering away like a rose.

Fairytales are just for dreaming,
And true love is nothing but a hoax.

And now she knows....
