Sadness

Sitting in a dark and dreary room
I weep to my hearts content
Waiting for the silent gloom
My saddened heart forever bent

I sit and cry for hours on end
Wishing it would all go away
Wondering where are all my friends
I haven't seen them for days

As I sit here I start to wonder
Why I feel such sadness
My heart has already been plundered
I see sadness...people see madness

People say that it's not right
For me to be so melancholy
They say I need to turn on a light
And let my heart be jolly

But for now I will sit here
Weeping til my eyes are dry
Maybe soon a whisper I'll hear
A whisper saying it'll be alright
