Mirror On The Wall

That mirror on the

wall with my reflection

staring at me in anger

 

What did I do wrong for

that evil glare staring through

that glass

 

I can't recall

But I stand there

and wonder why that

pressure is on my back

 

I can't take much more

of this nasty hate inside

of me and inside of that

glass mirror

 

Harsh comments and bad

reactions yelling at me in

my mind

 

I'm going crazy

but I can't runaway and leave

everything behind

 

"How can I settle this"

I ask my reflection

 

It tells me I can't

and there is no way out

 

Why is there pain

holding me down and

why can't I get out?

 

Everything I do is wrong

so I'm traped in an evil

prison

 

I need to get out

But how?

I like the poem. I wrote one similar years ago. We look into a mirror and we are not happy with who we are and where we are going. I like the way you described the unhappiness of your life. I tell people. Don't like what you are doing. Find something else to do. A excellent poem.
