Always By My Side

This poem is for a close friend of mine. Always will be there for me, no matter what happens!

Always there when I turn around

You are always
looking out for me and
telling me you love me

I tell you that I love you
and never leave me

You say that you will miss me
when you must go

I asked what that meant,
yet no reply

You kiss my head and tell
me to never forget you
I say, "I love you!

Don't leave me!" In a soft voice
I hear you whisper

"I'll be with you everyday, just not
face to face..."

You never told me what
that meant

But then again
you tell me I'll know soon
enough. You wipe my
tear that is running off my face

Kiss my head and
drive away in that car of yours

That last hug would be the last
from you

Crying in my room
everyday when nobody is
there near me

I know when you're near,

I can smell that wonderful
scent come off you to me
When you're near

I run as fast as i can to catch you.

I know you're here,

but I can't find you

"PLEASE PLEASE!"

I say in my mind
"give me a sign you're here!"

There is a person i will remain
nameless. If that person wasn't here

You wouldn't be gone

I wish you could come back
I love you!
