being frightened

being frightened

A Poem by love child

Being frightened.

I don’t want to drag you into my story

Your soul is too bright to be held down by my many flaws

It’s hard to understand, with me there’s no glory

I will leave you like a play with no applause.

Believe me when I say I am out of my mind

My artistic views have stolen my sanity

I wasn’t made for man kind

My heart is one beat from vanity.

These things make it hard to be stable

I am not worth the time so leave while you can

Leave quietly while my heart is disabled.

Leave before I turn into a con man

I will turn your life upside down

For I am a chaotic mess.

My mind is just a tad too depressed.
