this poem is about when i was little kid ; my mom would always ask me what i wanted to be when i was little girl ... you have to read this poem to figure out my answer . but just remember i was like 5 when she always asked me this . so don't make fun of

Mommy Dear ,

when I grow up ...
I want to be in the stars ;

flying around in the sky .

Astronaut ; overrated

I could watch you all the time .

Listen to your thoughts .

You'd never be alone anymore .

You wouldn't have to be married ,

just could call me up in the clouds .

Mommy ,

when I grow up ....

I want to be god .

Beautiful poem. I remember the dreams I had as a child, and it turns out I still have those same outlandish dreams. I'd rather it remain that way. The child's voice in this poem is clear, yet it saddens me. Will I be what I want to be? I loved this poem.
