Note to Self

This really isn't much of anything, just a short "note" to myself. Enjoy!

"If I were you, I'd hate me too."

That's the message you receive.

From who? Yourself.

Is this really who you believe yourself to be?

Look deeper, look harder.

You can only be the wonderful you.

You're not bionic, why expect supersonic?

You're breathing, you're thinking, you're human.

And that makes you beautiful too. 

I know it's tough to see them sneer and grin,

But just remember to keep standing tall.

The world, so vicious, makes you seem small.

But remember who you are, and on that truth, rise above

As they fall.

I didn't really plan this out at all, being perfectly honest, I just wanted to give myself and others who needed to hear it a quick pep talk... If you notice any grammar/spelling mistakes, PLEASE tell me, as I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to that... Also, what did you think of the poem? Was the content okay?
