Justifying.

The villain who truly thinks they are right. And will justify any means of achieving their goal.

I am what most people would call "the evil villain."  In fact, I have been called that, many times to some extent.  I do not believe this is true.  Yes I oppose the law, When it is unrighteous;  yes I kill, out of mercy; yes I am the antagonist, feared, wounder, jailer...  But being an antagonist does not mean evil.  What if people fear only what they do not understand?  Wounds cause pain which is essential to growth.  When some think I am shutting them in I am really shutting our true evil, true darkness, true pain...  So yes I am all those things, but is it so terrible?  So wrong?
