Goodnight Sally

Goodnight Sally

A Poem by Scarlett Brooke

Goodnight Sally, says mother sweetly,
As she tucks the bed so neatly.

A kiss upon Sally's cheek,

And now it's time to fall asleep.

Sally's eyes begin to close,

And a snore comes from her nose.

That's when The Littles snuggle free,

From Sally's arms for all to see.

"Come out! Come out!" a whispered shout,

Has The Littles sneak on out

The Littles sing The Littles dance,

But every night they take a chance.

For if a Little sings too shrill

Or can’t stop dancing to stand still

Then little Sally just might wake

And that’s a Little’s big mistake

So next time it’s time for bed

To get tucked in and rest your head

Know that when your deep asleep

That’s when the Littles come to meet
