BeautyA Poem by louwildinghow beauty mags make me feelIt’s often said in magazines That beauty's all life really means And in some places a size eight Can be considered overweight
What ever happened to those girls Who’s beauty was not size imposed? I wonder what it is they’d think Of watching young girls shrink and shrink?
But what I really hate the most Is how I feel about their boasts That if I eat a slice of cake That I will put on extra weight
It’s said they eat three meals a day And yet their bodies waste away By eating tissue, cotton fluff And other pointless filling stuff
That tricks them into feeling full Their lives must be so very dull So counting every calorie Is really not the way for me © 2015 louwildingFeatured Review
