We can live this

We can live this

A Poem by Nazca
"

Just a thought today.... A declaration of my own decision to let go of the past and move forward.

"

I've lived long enough to know

We all have dark places

We all have something

we need to reign

I've been hurt enough to grow

Shine light on dark places

We all can sing

Despite the pain

In all our vanity

and all our tears

In all the insanity

Through out the years

We have forgiveness

Its a choice

Decide to live this

Give it a voice

We have forgiveness

For all the pains

For all the words that cut

Across the grain

We can live this

Choose to believe

And become something

They can't conceive

Its for our souls

Not just to pardon

To feed what grows

In our own garden

We have forgiveness

Author's Note

Nazca
It doesn;t really matter if the person who you forgive believes it. Others will think justice is necessary. Punishment should be dealt tooth for tooth. I'm not blindly going to forgive, but neither am I going to hold resentment to corrupt my own soul and limit what I am :-) When it comes to that I prefer to forgive and decide on where to go from there myself.

This author is aware enough to know of the inner creature. And then had a pure thought, which was here articulated into a breath of clean air.
This is a good path, good poem.
The line;
I have been hurt enough to grow
It shows a Wisdom. All insanities come from the unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering.
Well done, Nazca.

You definitely have a way with words Tony. And you definitely "get" what I meant here. I, and most of us I suspect, have been hurt enough to grow. We decide if we do positively in a way that enriches our lives, our loved ones lives, and for those that depend on us. I am no masochist LOOKING for pain. But I have been through it in many ways. And in the past I have run from a few. Hid behind work or silence or resentment. And I decided that was not me. not what and who I want to be. I'll run no more. This poem was a declaration of that.
