False Belief

False Belief

A Poem by Andrew Watkins

‘It will be better’ is how it goes in my head.

It will be better than this ole shebang  and seeing red.

Before I get there I take a swift left turn and head on down the other road.

Where it takes me nobody knows. But it won’t take me there, says my false belief.
