Fly

Fly

A Poem by Hope
"

I wrote this so long ago, I almost don't remember the person who wrote it.

"

Close your eyes, share your heart, tell yourself it’s ok to start.

Lonely souls, discontent, are you devilspawn or heaven sent?

Hold me now, with your touch, let it go and feel the rush.

Reckless loves win the game, matter more, and dilute the pain.

Chest to chest, mouth to mouth, do you love me? Let's find out.

Forget to think, forget to try, sing me now a lullaby.

More than love, more than lust, tell yourself it’s ok to trust.

Keep it quiet; no other rules, secret affairs lend scarlet jewels.

Trace the outline of your soul and lips, if you'll save me now with just a kiss.

Twisted love led tormented minds, in sweet release leave it all behind.

Sense it now, know it's real, tell yourself it's ok to feel.

Take my hand, run away, say goodbye to yesterday.

Turn out the lights, ignore what’s right and

get

ready

to fly.
