SUPERNOVAS

SUPERNOVAS

A Poem by Louise Ayres

Wow.

Nearly halfway to completion of the upload.

Into a folder of a gazillion files.
Around the same number as there are stars.

Well,

Supernovas.

Or should I say,

Supernobodies.

All super in their own right-
by their own standards.

Climaxing in a puff of smoke.

Combusting into carbon stardust,

Which some of today’s superstars say,

Still glitters.
