WRAP UP

WRAP UP

A Poem by Louise Ayres

Be careful,
Not to get too cold.
‘Cause nothing lasts forever.

Soft, warm clothing will disintegrate,
And one day,
You’ll find yourself naked,
cool as stone,
frozen fingers clutching a rough rag.

Enjoy the cosy times.
Feel your brain wobble with heartbeats and laughter.
Let warm bodies thaw your stiffening limbs.
And allow yourself to dance.

Because when the music stops...

I’m really not sure.
