The Victorian Hat

The Victorian Hat

A Poem by R.R.Louderback
"

For Marsha on the occasion of her wearing a Victorian hat with billowing tulle

"

Dedicated to Marsha on the occasion of her wearing a Victorian hat with billowing tulle

Victorian hat with tulleOne night as I climbed up the stair
I met a tulle-clad woman there
She wore a black Victorian hat
I wonder just where she got that?

One night when I climbed up the stair
I met a Victorian woman there
She had a hat of billowing tulle
Wow! I must say tulle doth rule!

One night upon the stair
I met a woman who was quite bare
Except for her lovely hat of tulle
I got her number; I'm no fool.

Last night as I climbed up the stair.
There was a Victorian lady there.
The very next night she'd gone away;
Her hat of tulle was all that stayed.

This a cute poem, even if you didn't mean it to be. Is it about a ghost? Very good.
