untitled (for now)

A short poem I wrote after the ending of a relationship that I gave myself to fully.

Change is unavoidable

like your eyes, which I falteringly, look into

and feel the burning of your mind on my soul. achievable

only after previously breaking through

the hard outer shell

that so long has protected the inner soft

core of my weak self.
