The End of an Era

The End of an Era

A Poem by Philomela Titania Lanx

Poems lost
And tildes forgotten.
Trails of desire
Left untrodden.

Unjustified jealousy
At something normal.
Inner controversy
At love immoral.

Hopes left broken
In a forest of dreams.
Teddy bears to hug
For hearts that teem.

I hope that you now
Could find someone new.
Someone who knows
What it takes to get through.

This filthy goodbye
Leaves on me a stain.
But I know time will show us
It wasn't in vain.

I wrote this a while ago for an older guy I know. I'm rather proud of it.
