In The Garden of Thy Kingdom

In The Garden of Thy Kingdom

A Poem by lostinthewaves

Softly, the lamb sets forth in the garden,

Little one who has giv’n us all pardon,

Gently he walks, passing all the angels,

His reign, glory among the earth and sky.

Softly, the voice of the shepherd calls me,

“In me find rest, where all shall come to be”,

Among the most righteous, may I reside?

In the radiance of thy holy kingdom.

Softly, the dove of peace holds the branches,

The bow and the promise of thy mansion,

Welcome for all, the meek and the lowly,

The place is set, and the feast is prepared.

Softly, a cry from a lowly manger,

Hope of all earth, no one is a stranger!
